INTEGRATING GENERATIVE AI IN INDONESIAN ARBITRATION: APPLICATIONS, CHALLENGES, AND REGULATORY PATHWAYS

Main Article Content

AYU ATIKA DEWI

Abstract

Recent technological advancements, particularly in generative AI, have significantly impacted arbitration, presenting both opportunities and challenges. However, incorporating AI into Indonesian arbitration requires careful consideration of critical legal and ethical issues to ensure reliability and effectiveness. While substantial studies explore AI’s role in international arbitration, limited research addresses the unique challenges and applications of generative AI within Indonesia’s specific legal and regulatory framework. This article aims to fill this gap by examining the integration of AI in Indonesian arbitration, focusing on its practical applications alongside the ethical and legal issues that are relevant to Indonesia. By addressing these aspects, this study contributes to understanding how Indonesia’s legal landscape can adapt to AI advancements, offering a model for responsibly harnessing AI’s transformative potential in arbitration to ensure fair and effective outcomes.
