MODEL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELITE EDUCATION OF UNIVERSITIES IN SICHUAN

Abstract

This study is entitled “Model for development of the elite education of universities in Sichuan”.The objectives of this research is as follows:(1)To study the current situation of elite education of universities in Sichuan.(2) To develop model for development of the elite education of universities in Sichuan.(3)To evaluate the adaptability and feasibility of the model for development of the elite education of universities in Sichuan.The sample group included 175 teachers engaged in elite education teaching or management from 9 universities in Sichuan.The research instruments include questionnaire survey,structured interviews and evaluation form.The data were analyzed by frequency,percentage,mean,standard deviation and contents analysis.


The results of this research revealed :1)The current situation of elite education of universities in Sichuan is at a medium level.2)The model for development of the elite education of universities in Sichuan includes 4 aspects:Educational idea and administrative management,Optimize curriculum system,Innovative teaching methods,Improve the evaluation of educational quality.3)And the adaptability and feasibility evaluation of the model for development of the elite education of universities in Sichuan are the highest level.The results show that this model is effective for improving the quality of elite education and promoting the development of elite education of universities in Sichuan.
